Clinical Psychology - Term Position

The Department of Psychology at the University of Regina invites applications for a three-year term position, at the rank of Assistant Professor, in clinical psychology. While the area of research specialization is open, we especially encourage applications from individuals conducting research in psychopathology (assessment or intervention). Anticipated date of commencement is 1 July 2010 or 1 September 2010, depending on the availability of the successful candidate.
Applicants should have a PhD in clinical psychology from a CPA- or APA-accredited program (or be in a position to complete all PhD requirements no later than six months from the date of appointment). The successful candidate should show clear promise of excellence in both research and teaching, and be registered or eligible for registration as a Psychologist in Saskatchewan. Duties of the successful candidate include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, honours-thesis supervision, and participation in departmental activities. The ability to teach courses in introductory psychology would be an asset. The successful candidate is expected to develop a program of research in clinical psychology.
The program in Clinical Psychology is committed to the scientist-practitioner model and is accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association. The Department maintains good relations with a number of health care, research, and other educational facilities both within Regina and throughout the province.
