- My main research and teaching interests are civil society and social movements; participatory democracy and democratic transition; discourses of development; HIV&AIDS; gender and development; planning, monitoring and evaluation; cultural forms of resistance; and North-South relations. My main regional interests are Southern and Western Africa.
